THIS IS ME (2016)
By D’Estin Perry October 12, 2016 at 8:41 pm
I’ve learned to accept the fact that I will continuously lose people in my life who are not meant to stay.
Over the years, I’ve lost plenty of friends and family that I thought would always be by my side. But I’ve come to realize that some people are only meant to be there for a season, or for a specific reason in my life at that time.
Instead of always questioning His ways, I’ve learned to understand and accept it.
Recently, I made a vision board and began reading more about the law of attraction. Since then, some of the things on my vision board have already started to manifest.
It’s kind of shocking… but also powerful.
I’ve always believed, but now I’m actually seeing it happen. It makes me realize how much power I truly have over my life. My thoughts really do become things.
That can be scary… but in a good way.
It’s helped me stay more positive and intentional with my mindset, because I now understand that constantly thinking negative thoughts will attract exactly that. So I remind myself daily of my vision and stay focused.
And the more I do that, the more I begin to attract the right people—people who are aligned to help me get where I need to be.
It’s like my thoughts equal creation.
And when those thoughts are tied to strong emotions—good or bad—it speeds up the process even more.
Thoughts are magnetic.
Thoughts have frequency.
As you think them, they are sent out into the universe, attracting everything on that same frequency.
Everything you send out… comes back to you.
I recently decided to hang up my Marcels for a min and focus on the mic. Music is definitely my passion my true love and the way I've gotten through a lot of things in my life long as I had a pen some paper and a speaker im good.
But somehow, someway, I keep getting pulled back into the hair business.
And I can’t quite put my finger on it.
I don’t feel like it’s my true first passion or destiny… but how would I know?
I was born and raised in a salon, surrounded by a family full of beauticians. I adored My Aunt Helen Collins and looked up to her in every way she totally inspired every bit of my hair and fashion journey growing up I always said I wanted to be just like her and you know what I did it!! and more than once. I know the craft very well. I can say I’ve always truly loved doing hair. It used to be something I was super passionate about.
Yet somehow, it continues to show up in every season of my life.
Recently, I revamped my brand and started rebuilding my online and local business. Can't wait to really plant my feet here in Atlanta i have so much to offer and the world will know my name really soon because I refuse to let my foot up.
I’m still figuring out exactly where I’m going with it.
Do I open another salon?
Or do I stay steady where I am?
One thing about me—I don’t do anything halfway.
When I see a vision, it’s always bigger than normal. So I refuse to underestimate myself. I know there’s more ahead.
I’ve owned a salon a full beauty supply store, clothing store and a hair restoration clinic already, and I don’t feel like I was as successful as I wanted to be in my hometown. But I also understand that failure is a part of my success.
So I stand tall and welcome new ventures as they come.
They say the third time’s a charm… so we’ll see the best is yet to come.
Right now, Perry Stylez presents P.S. I Love You Collection We're back!!! —offering hair care and fashion needs, bringing you from hair to fashion.
I’ve been focusing heavily on my product line, the Regrowth Candy Collection.
All products are handmade. Currently, I offer a cream moisturizer made with natural ingredients like almond oil, shea butter, vegetable glycerin, and essential oils.
Candy Cream restores hair’s natural moisture balance, helps repair over-processed hair, conditions, and stimulates hair growth.
How to use:
Apply generously.
For best results, use daily.
Massage into problem areas for about 60 seconds.
The result?
Healthier, thicker, longer hair.
I’m also expanding the product line, with new items dropping this winter.
In addition, I offer mink Indian virgin hair in a variety of textures—from bundles to lace wigs, closures, frontals, and 360 lace bands.
So stay tuned as I continue to rebuild in this season.
At the same time, I’m still being a mother… and working on my music.
Because one thing I always remind myself:
"Quitters never win. Winners never quit."
I heard that not too long ago, and now I say it often.
Because I truly believe…
My real journey has just begun.
